REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) – ACQUISTION AND ADMINISTRATION OF SYMPHONY HEALTH TRUST

Symphony Health Trust was placed under the Curatorship, of Maemo Mesotlo (in his capacity as Partner of the firm Maemo S D Mesotlo & Associates “MSD Mesotlo & Associates”), by Order of The Court (UAHGB-000297-17) on 21 December 2017.

MSD Mesotlo & Associates, acting on the resolution of Beneficiaries (Members) of Symphony Health Trust (In Curatorship) passed at the Special General Meeting held on 19 February 2018, invites proposals from suitably qualified and experienced medical aid schemes or other similar entities registered and operating in Botswana, to submit proposals for the acquisition and administration of Symphony Health Trust.

Symphony Health Trust’s estimated number of Beneficiaries (Members) at 31 December 2017, was 380 (2016:  845). The Trust presently requires membership administration services and continuing medical cover for its members.

Proposals are invited from the following:

(a) Medical aid schemes/trusts and other related entities;

(b) Private equity and asset management entities; and

(a) Any other suitably qualified entity or undertaking.

Terms and Conditions of the EOI

1.Expression of Interest should be accompanied by the following documents:

1.1 Copy of Certificate of Incorporation; or applicable founding document

1.2 Copy of applicable license/exemption issued by the relevant authority; and

1.3 Copy of most recent audited financial statements.

2.Selection Criteria

EOI submissions will be checked for completeness and compliance with the requirements of this invitation for expression of interest. The selection criteria will be based on the following:

2.1 Financial capability and capacity of the bidder; and

2.2 Bidder’s experience in the health sector and related undertakings.

3.Submission of Proposals

3.1 Submissions should be emailed to curator@msdmesotlo.com and original hard copies placed in a sealed envelope clearly marked “EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR ACQUISITION OF SYMPHONY HEALTH TRUST”, and delivered to the address given below; and to arrive not later than 1700 hours, 02 March 2018.
