PUBLIC NOTICE - EQUITY ANALYSIS
The Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (“NBFIRA”) has become aware of a company by the name of Equity Analysis (Pty) Ltd (“Equity Analysis”), which has approached some Batswana offering services wherein they allege to assist in opening a non-resident Trade Account on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, provide training etc.
1. The public is hereby advised to note that Equity Analysis has not been registered or licensed tooperate by NBFIRA ; and
2. The Regulatory Authority advises members of the public that Equity Analysis has not been given approval by NBFIRA to receive funds for purposes of investing on behalf of their clients.
The public is advised to exercise due diligence before making any investment with any Non-Bank Financial Institution (“NBFI”). Please contact NBFIRA on 310 2595 or 368 6100 to ascertain the legitimacy of any institution that markets itself as an NBFI prior to making any investment decisions.
