PUBLIC NOTICE- BOTSWANA IFSR UPDATES & AUDIT SUMMIT

The Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (“NBFIRA”) has become aware of material by Mountain Rock Projects advertising and promoting the Botswana IFRS Updates & Audit Summit 2017 (“Summit”) wherein it is purported that NBFIRA is participating in and/or attending the Summit.

The Public is hereby advised that NBFIRA has no working relationship with Mountain Rock Projects, no connection or involvement with the Summit in any capacity and has not given any third party the right to advertise the event using NBFIRA’s name.  The Public is therefore encouraged to exercise due diligence and caution in determining whether to attend the Summit.

The Public is further advised that the use of the NBFIRA name and Logo without the permission of NBFIRA is a serious offence that may lead to both civil and criminal liability for persons found guilty thereof.
