PUBLIC NOTICE- BLUTHORN FUND MANAGERS (PTY) / ECSPONENT ASSET MANAGEMENT (PTY) LTD

1. The Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (“NBFIRA”) hereby informs members of the public that BLUTHORN FUND MANAGERS (PTY) LTD (“BluThorn”) has been placed under temporary closure in terms of Section 57 of the NBFIRA Act 2016.

2. BluThorn was previously incorporated and carried on business as ECSPONENT ASSET MANAGEMENT (PTY) LTD (“Ecsponent”), consequently, the temporary closure of BluThorn inherently includes the temporary closure of Ecsponent, in the event that BluThorn may still refer to itself as Ecsponent.

3. The effect of the temporary closure is that BluThorn and/or Ecsponent is not permitted to transact Collective Investment Undertaking/Asset Management business with members of the public whilst the closure subsists.
