Invitation to NBFIRA Open Day on Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism and Proliferation (AML/CFTP)

1. We refer to the above captioned subject matter.
2. In recognition of the imperative obligation of its role as a supervisor to raise awareness to specified parties, the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) will host an open day for the NBFI sector on the 22^nd February 2019, at 0800hours at Ba Isago Convention Centre.
3. The purpose of the open day is to raise awareness on the AML/CFT obligations of NBFIs in accordance with the local legislation and international standards, as well as to create an opportunity for the NBFIs to engage NBFIRA regarding their obligations.
4.  The initiative offers a unique opportunity to engage with the AML/CFT regulator to address the challenges faced by the NBFI sector.
