PUBLIC NOTICE - SMARTFXPRO IS NOT LICENSED

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (“NBFIRA”) hereby informs the public that SmartFxPro is not licensed to operate as a Non-Bank Financial Institution as required by Section 42(1) of the NBFIRA Act, nor has it been granted any dispensation to operate in Botswana by NBFIRA.

Information reaching NBFIRA is that SmartFxPro has approached some members of the public offering services wherein they allege to assist in opening a Trade Account on non-resident trading platforms, provide training on foreign exchange (“forex”) trading etc.

Members of the public are therefore advised not to transact any business with SmartFxPro. The public is further advised to exercise due diligence before making any investment with any Non-Bank Financial Institution (“NBFI”).

Please contact NBFIRA on 310 2595 or 368 6100 to ascertain the legitimacy of any institution that markets itself as an NBFI prior to making any investment decisions.
