NBFIRA TAKES IT'S SERVICES TO THE PEOPLE
The Non-Bank Financial Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) held awareness roadshows in Gaborone, Mochudi and Molepolole on the 19th-21st March 2016.
The objective for the campaign was to create awareness and educate the communities on the importance of knowledge of capital markets, Insurance, Pensions and responsible lending from Micro lenders and Cash loans. The campaign also focused on educating consumers on non-bank financial products and services to assist them make informed financial decisions.
The message was passed through drama, presentations to help consumers scrutinize their policies and seek advice especially on their insurance, pensions, lending and investment contracts. The authority also educated members of the public on the complaint procedure and their role in ensuring that they understand their contractual obligations when engaging non-bank financial service providers.
