NBFIRA 2024 Open Day

The Authority held a stakeholder outreach Open Day held in Rail-park Mall Gaborone on October 26, 2024, where it collaborated with some Industry Associations and entities, engaged consumers to strengthen financial education and consumer protection.

The event enhanced direct communication and collaboration between the public, the Authority, and some non-bank financial institutions. This also yielded financial literacy benefits such as cognitive understanding of the regulation and supervision of non-bank financial instructions, their products, financial components, and skills such as budgeting, investing, borrowing, and personal financial management skills..

Industry Association such as Botswana Short Term Underwriters Association, Microfinance Association and Botswana Pension Society participated at the event. Hollard Insurance and Peo Finance also attended the event.
