NBFIRA Participates at the Business Botswana Northern Trade Fair 2024

As part of stakeholder engagement, the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) participated at the Business Botswana Trade Fair 2024 held in Francistown from 22nd to 26th May 2024.

This year’s event was themed "Sustainable Innovation: Building a Greener Tomorrow.

NBFIRA’s participation at the Fair provided an opportunity to promote financial education and consumer protection, thereby empowering consumers of non-bank financial products and services and the general public about their rights and responsibilities as well as the Authority’s mandate.

The outreach also served as a platform for the Authority to inform the public about licensing requirements for aspiring industry participants. Close interaction with the public enabled the Authority to identify arising and common complaints concerning financial products and services, buttress its customer protection role and avail the NBFIRA Complaints Procedure to those wishing to lodge complaints.
