Corporate Governance Guidelines for Insurers and Reinsurers
Insurers and Reinsurers licensed with the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (“NBFIRA”) are hereby informed of the Corporate Governance Guidelines to be followed by insurers and reinsurers from February 1st, 2022.
A draft of the generic Guidelines was shared with the Industry in February 2021 for comments.
NBIRA received input from the industry and incorporated those comments in developing guidelines that are specific to the insurers and reinsurers.
